I enjoy tutoring because I excel in discussing complex ideas and making them understandable. It's fun to work collaboratively with students and help them learn new things. It also provides an opportunity for me to solidify my understanding of the subject and develop my teaching skills. I'm currently attending Emory University for my bachelor's degree in chemistry. When I work with students, I relate concepts to things students already know, and I connect concepts together to help a student get the big picture. My favorite subject to tutor is algebra because there are lots of connections to make, and the skills learned in algebra can be used in so many subjects. I also enjoy tutoring chemistry, biology, middle school math, general science, and test preparation. When I have free time, I enjoy swing dancing, running, participating in the American sign language club on campus, and running.
